Hi, I’m César Rodríguez

I help leaders innovate by combining design and technology to create impactful digital products.

With over 16 years of experience in designing and implementing digital products, I’ve partnered with companies from different industries (SAP, Amazon, Rio Tinto, Target, Petrobras, Suzano) and led product teams to create solutions that serve millions of customers worldwide.

I truly believe in the potential of design + technology to create big changes. Since the beginning of my career as a software developer, I’ve been passionate about finding creative ways to leverage technology to solve problems. Through this journey, I've discovered that Design has the power to humanize technology.

This blog is my open journal - a place to share insights, strategies, and stories from my journey to help you create a design-led culture, embrace innovation, and develop human-centric solutions that make a positive impact in the world.

Here are some highlights from my professional journey so far:

  • [2006] I started a small business developing general management apps for small companies.
  • [2008] Worked as a Software Developer focused on data integration and analytics as part of Rio Tinto's Global ERP rollout strategy.
  • [2009-2011] Moved into a Tech Lead role implementing corporate software for multiple industries in Brazil.
  • [2012] My first contact with Design Thinking and Product Management, working in SAP Labs (Palo Alto) piloting in-memory technology with strategic SAP Global Customers in short innovation sprints.
  • [2013-2017] Design & Innovation consulting for companies adopting disruptive technologies. Crafted 100+ value propositions for a wide range of industries in Latin America.
  • [2017] Joined Amazon and became part of the core team responsible for launching Brazil's first Retail business and Fulfillment Center.
  • [2020-] Leading a product tech division at Amazon responsible for a portfolio of 10 products serving internal and external customers in 19+ countries.
  • [2021] Started this blog to share my experience with people like you!
