[Weekly Retro] Functional, performance and excitement
#42 - Mar.2024
Happy Friday!
💡 Here is a quick idea before you head off for the weekend:
Looking for a simple prioritization framework on what to build first? Use these three buckets:
- Functional. Features that cover the basic functional tasks. This should be your top priority to avoid users struggling to accomplish simple tasks.
- Performance. Features that are not mandatory but they add convenience to the experience.
- Excitement. These are the small surprises and unexpected experiences that connect with users' emotions.
50/30/20 is a good ratio to balance all three. You don’t want a product full of wow effects but failing to cover the basics.
Start with a solid foundation and move towards a memorable product.
