[Weekly Retro] Problems in roadmaps

#52 - Jun.2024

Happy Friday!

💡 Here is a quick idea before you head off for the weekend:

Reasons why you might be having problems with your product roadmap:

  • Have too many items;
  • No clear prioritization criteria;
  • Is not driven by the focus of your strategy;
  • Is based on the desires of managers, not customer needs;
  • Value is not delivered progressively;
  • Have items with impacts that can’t be measured;
  • Does not account for risks (technical, business, etc);
  • Is not well promoted across the team and stakeholders;
  • Too focused on solutions, rather than problems or opportunities;
  • Do not inspire!
