[Weekly Retro] Tension and stress
#43 - Mar.2024
Happy Friday!
💡 Here is a quick idea before you head off for the weekend:
“You need pressure.”
This was one of Dan Koe’s posts from this week.
The uncertainty if something is going to work or not creates tension. And tension is good to keep us moving forward.
Tension is not the same as stress.
Seth Godin explains this very well. Stress is an unresolvable conflict between multiple options where you can’t decide which path to follow.
Tension is falling into the uncertainty of success or failure but fully committed to the practice of putting in the work.
When tension leads to a positive outcome, it creates a beautiful sense of achievement.
Look for tension, not stress.

🖋️ Quote of the week:
“At the heart of the question ‘will it work’ is I’m afraid. What matters is ‘Are you brave enough to try?’ ” - Seth Godin
