What to automate?

In the race of automation, knowing what to automate is more important than how to automate it.
Focus on the right target. Look for the tasks that are:
- Outliers: one-off tasks requiring deep thinking. Keep these with humans.
- Loops: repetitive, low-value work, tasks that are unbalanced in terms of effort vs. outcomes. This is your opportunity.
Loop-tasks grow slowly, almost invisible, within organizations. Most of the time they are the root cause preventing companies from scaling.
Automate the loops.
